Cubicle lets you move software, files and internal collaborative projects to the Internet. There are many advantages, including reduced licence fees and environmental impact, increased security and greater efficiency in joint projects. And no matter where you are, your work is just an Internet connection away.Your own files and common files are divided up into different folders, right in your Cubicle. You save and open the document just as in any file management process. A specially appointed person at your company, or each user if you choose to set it up that way, decides who has access to the shared folders.
Not only does Cubicle make your work easier, more secure and more efficient, it's also good for the environment. Our computer room supplier was named Green Computer Room of the Year in 2008 and we use only virtual servers. If your office has an energy-gobbling server room, Cubicle can save you many kilowatt hours - good for your wallet as well as the environment.
As a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, we are always on the forefront of infrastructure. One example of what this means to you is problem-free printing thanks to EasyPrint. No matter what kind of printer you have, Cubicle is always ready to print on demand, with no time-consuming settings to configure or drivers to install. This is unique to Microsoft Windows Server 2008, and few similar solutions have this as standard.
Working with Cubicle is just as safe as using an Internet bank. Just like them, we use SSL encryption and smartcard authentication for secure access to programs and files. All data are backed up every 15 minutes and stored in a security-class, fire-safe facility. All systems are duplicated to ensure 99.99% operational reliability, and if any files have been damaged or deleted you can restore them yourself to the latest functional version with a single mouse click.
Programs and files open from your Cubicle on the Internet instead of from your hard drive. You don't need any special software or hardware, just a regular PC running Windows and an Internet connection. The biggest difference is that your workplace is always on hand, no matter where in the world you are. Everything else is completely normal, your programs work just as they always have, except that they never crash.
With Cubicle you never have to worry about an expensive software license going to waste if the user leaves the company, goes on disability or sabbatical. We update licenses on a monthly basis so you have the flexibility to add or remove users on short notice. In addition, we purchase licenses in large volumes, ensuring a lower cost per individual user.
Cubicle can be used on nearly any modern computer. 1. I get a box on the screen when I start CubicleIf this is the first time you have started Cubicle, you may need to enable an ActiveX control at the top of the page. It is highlighted in yellow and must be approved before you can go on (see the series of pictures)Close the information boxSelect Close on the information box, which pops up when a program is trying to run on your computer. When the box is closed, you see a text highlighted in yellow at the top of the page. C:\Users\admezos\Desktop\activex\activexpopup3.bmp Run Active-x controlThe next step is to click on the yellow text at the top and select "Run ActiveX Control". This will enable the web components you need to display the applications on your computer. To do so, select Tools and then Manage Add-ons.Under the heading "Add-ons used by Internet Explorer" you will find Microsoft Terminal Services Client Control. Enable this add-on, then press OK and try again. Javascript errorIf your Internet Explorer security settings are set to "High", you may see the following page:C:\Users\admezos\Desktop\jserror.bmpTo select a security level that allows Cubicle to run on your computer, select Tools and then Internet Options. Under the Security tab you can choose different security levels. Lower the security level from high to one of the lower ones (Medium-High is ideal). This will allow you to install the ActiveX control (see question 1).4. My smartcard doesn't workMake sure that the card is correctly inserted in the reader and that the LED on the reader is glowing steadily.5. My PIN doesn't workIf your pin has digits and you use the number pad on the right of the keyboard, make sure that the number keypad is enabled by pressing the NumLock key.6. I get a "Page cannot be shown" messageMake sure that your smartcard is correctly inserted in the reader and that a solid LED appears on the reader.7. I don't see any Certificates (my name) in the window when I try to access https://login.mycubicle.seIf this is the first time you have used this card in this computer, you must log out from the computer and then log in again, leaving the card in the reader throughout this procedure.
